Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Staff Scheduler ("the Service") is a web-based employee scheduling platform that enables businesses to create schedules, manage time-off requests, track time and attendance, and communicate with team members. The Service is provided by Staff Scheduler ("we", "us", "our").

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account.

3. Free and Paid Plans

We offer a free plan for organizations with up to 5 employees. Paid plans are available for larger teams. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

4. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful business purposes
  • Not share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Not use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
  • Comply with all applicable labor and employment laws in your jurisdiction

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including employee information, schedules, and time records. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as required to operate the Service (e.g., payment processing through Stripe) or as required by law.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may delete your account and organization at any time through the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
